    What you'll do

    In this role, you will be responsible for handling organizations functions, including media, governmental, and industry relations. This position may require drafting press releases, contact media, and print material. You will conduct the public affairs program of PM with responsibility for planning, developing, and implementing the organization's public affairs programs, policies, and activities, interacting with the Army, other Services, and the general public. You function as technical authority and provide consultation to Program Manager in developing public affairs activities to support the total management effort. You will use a variety of methods and techniques in achieving communication goals such as product exhibits, brochures, pamphlets, graphics, etc. As well as evaluate information problems encountered in communicating PM priorities and advise on and recommends solutions to public affairs issues to PM management. Other tasks you will be assigned with are as follows - 


    • Develop written materials and make verbal presentations
    • Develop and transmit informational materials to a variety of publication to enhance the understanding of PM programs and capabilities
    • Develops basic materials including fact sheets, news releases, feature articles for magazines and trade papers, electronic media and Service and industry exhibitions
    • Makes presentations to diverse publics, including high-grade civilian and military officials on PM and capabilities
    • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with information and public affairs officials of Department of Defense offices and other Agencies
    • Plan and coordinate communication of events and staff award opportunities to ensure PM accomplishments the correct exposure

    What you'll bring

    • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
    • Six or more (6+) years experience in related job field 
    • Current Secret Clearance 
    • Strong understanding and experience with large, complex IT projects and organizations
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to comfortably interact and provide recommendations to high-level commanders/executives in a conservative manner
    • Excellent customer service and project management skills
    • A commitment to your profession demonstrated by participation in providing support, guidance and memberships in professional associations
